Resorts // St Moritz Hide Info
Perhaps the most glamorous, famous and established resort in the world, St. Moritz has never failed to lure the rich and famous over the past century and a half. Cross-country skiing, polo and hiking are arguably as important in the resort as skiing is. That is not to say the skiing there is deficient in anyway. Intermediate skiers and free-ride enthusiasts are best catered for but there is something for everyone in this world-class resort.
As well as having hosted two Olympic Games, every year St. Moritz stages the White Turf horse race on the town's lake. The town is also home to the legendary toboggan run, the Cresta Run. Other than its ability to provide a vast array of niche alpine pursuits, St. Moritz eclipses its rivals in terms of gastronomy. St. Moritz has more than its fair share of Michelin starred establishments not to mention its own annual gourmet festival. Opulent and never boring, St. Moritz is worthy of its prestige.
