For us, this is the ultimate chalet; exceptional food, great staff and a standard of accommodation which surpasses some of the world's best hotels, all in a truly world-class resort. Chalet Les Anges thrusts you into the heart of the mountains via the enormous windows throughout the chalet, directly overlooking the village and Matterhorn.  It is hard to find words to describe the pure intensity of the views, beautiful at any time of day or night - but our favourite time is watching the sun rise from the balcony, turning the tip of the Matterhorn bright pink.
 

The sitting room is huge and adaptable enough to play host to a large family gathering or cosy evening by the fire.  Or perhaps you prefer to host a party; the staff can arrange for a private band or DJ to play on request, or you can choose to just sip champagne around the baby grand piano.  As befits a chalet designed by the renowned Interior Architect Magali de Tscharner, Les Anges possesses a heavenly feeling of space and light, but retains plenty of warmth, intimacy and sumptuous comfort.  However, aside from the incredible spa facilities, our favourite Les Anges experience is the amazing barbecue and dining table on the outside terrace, the ultimate meal with a view.
